Backing Rings

Backing rings are a slip on fitting that is used in conjunction with polyethylene stub flanges as a means of connecting polyethylene pipe to valves, in-line instruments and connection between Polyethylene pipe and another type of pipe material. 

Backing rings are commonly manufactured from mild steel or 316 stainless steel. Mild steel backing rings require a coating to protect it from external conditions, hot dip galvansing or nylon coating are the most form of protection.

Fittings are manufactured to comply with AS/NZS 4087:2011 and AS 2129:2000
