Stub Flanges - Electrofusion
Polyethylene stub flanges are generally used when there is a connection to valves, in-line instruments and connection between Polyethylene pipe and another type of pipe material. Stub flange fittings generally involve pressing two surfaces to be joined tightly together, by means of threaded bolts. A gasket is installed between the flanges to prevent leakage Used in conjuction with a metal backing ring, a stub flange is joined to the end of a polyethylene pipe or fitting by electrofusion welding.
Supplied in a range of SDR ratings, SDR17 and SDR11 are the most common stub flanges available
Fittings are manufactured to comply with AS/NZS 4129:2008, AS/NZS 4130:2009 and AS 2129:2000
